Barn turned beautiful – Our completely breathtaking forest wedding is featured in Martha Stewart Magazine!
Breelayne and Hunter said their vows in front of beautifully strung Blossoms and Clematis Vines while surrounded by hundreds of breathtaking Redwood trees. With 20,000 private acres nestled in the foothills, The Santa Lucia Preserve is breathtaking in itself, and our dream team of vendors created a complete fairytale. This rustic barn wedding was full of candlelight, more florals than you could imagine, and lush garlands & chandeliers.
From the barn beams to the tabletops, each floral creation seemed to flow into the next. Our romantically rustic reception was filled with the most beautiful white blooms and greenery. The custom designed furniture and iron chandeliers took your breath away as you entered the Preserve’s Barn – all of which created a magical ambiance for Bree and Hunter’s celebration alongside their family and friends.
Sylvie Gil captured this day so perfectly and we can’t help but relive the magic through her photos. Congratulations to the newlyweds and thank you to an incredible team of vendors who helped create this dream!
What was the most memorable part of the day?
Hunter: For me, it was when I saw BreeLayne walking down the aisle…from the moment I saw her in her gown to the moment when we kissed, it was as if time stood still. We locked eyes and didn’t look away from each other during the entire ceremony. I barely remember anything other than the light in her eyes! It was an overwhelming experience.
BreeLayne: I don’t know if there was just ONE memorable part of the day. The day started in a bit of a fiasco after finding out my veil had been left in Los Angeles, so we went out and bought an impromptu veil. I really think the whole day was a magical moment. It really went by so fast but, like Hunter said, in the moment, it seemed as though time stood still. Being up there on the alter, reciting our vows was something so incredibly magical for me. Hearing Hunter say the most beautiful words to me was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of. I feel so blessed!
Breelayne and Hunter were very clear that they wanted a neutral organic feel with a pop of greenery to give a hint of their location but without giving it away – and Tiny Pine Press gave them just that with the most stunning paper goods.
The save the dates were hand torn cards with a watercolor wreath and foil printing for the hand calligraphy. They were then placed in a handmade sewn tea stained cotton pocket and tied with a twig as an inner envelope. Their mailing envelope was hand torn heavyweight handmade kraft cards that were then tied and we sealed them with a waxed monogram.
The Wedding invitation was a luxurious hand torn cotton card with a custom watercolor illustration detail and then gold foil printing with the lettering in all hand calligraphy… they were wrapped in tea stained cotton fabric and tied with a fern.
To top it off, custom boxes were handmade by a local artisan. The covers were laser engraved with the symbol for the heart chakra – BreeLayne and Hunter wanted to make sure the boxes were re-usable so they avoided marking them with a monogram or something only they would value later. the invitations were lying on a bed of moss – like the floor of the forest!
